my newest obsession

Having all the free time I've been enjoying I have watched the entire first two seasons of Mad Men over the course of a week.

If you have never seen it, seriously its the best show ever. I can't even begin.

Its scary how much pertinent stuff to you can extrapolate from a show taking place in the early 60s.

I just watched the season finale of season two and Elizabeth Moss (formerly Zoey Bartlett on my fav the west wing) seriously broke my heart.

It Could be Worse Vol. 4

I may single and very single at that, but man if I was in a relationship and THIS
happened, well I think I'd prefer my present uber single status.

I haven't written in almost a month! I'm a horrible blogger!

So much has happened. I went on vacation with my entire family and there were no causualties--I'll tell you about that another time.

I've been interviewing a lot and I accepted a job yesterday! So now I'm only 32, Single and living with my parents...so that's a nice development. I've also set an official move date from MA. I am driving all my worldly possessions down to LI on the 28th. Gulp I'm going to be officially stranded on the Island that is Lawwwwng. Kill me please!

So getting the new job is a huge blessing. Its a field I'm very familiar with, a role that I'm quite confident and I have a super awesome new boss that I love already. :)

Ironically, and when I say Ironically I mean stab me in the eye with a hot poker please after I start the job in 2 weeks I have to drive back to Boston to do a training for 3 days. ARGHHHHHH! No more driving!!!!

Other than more driving to and from Boston the main downside is that is in Jersey City which is a crazy 2+ hour commute in each direction. 8 years ago I commuted from LI to NYC and I gained 20 lbs. I am not really excited about this prospect.

On the other hand I will not see much of my parents so I'll be less likely to be arguing with them over their interfering nonsensical ways. I love them but being asked every day whether you're going to be home for dinner before you've even had lunch is beyond annoying!!!! grrr!

So there it is, things are better but still slightly awful.
